The prestigious MAMA Awards 2023 is set to take place at the Tokyo Dome in Japan on November 28 and 29, 2023. CJ ENM, in a press release on September 21, unveiled the dates and venue for this highly anticipated award ceremony. Scheduled to kick off at 6 pm KST (Korean Standard Time), the event will feature stellar performances from the giants of the K-pop world.
MAMA Awards 2023 Details
On the first day, November 28, K-pop soloist and rapper Jeon Somin will take on the role of host, while actor-and-singer Park Bo-gum will lead the ceremony on November 29 at Tokyo Dome, Japan.

Under the theme “ONE I BORN,” this year’s award ceremony aims to celebrate positivity, boundless imaginative thinking, and the universal influence of music. The concept symbolizes the combination of “I” representing limitless potential, “MAMA” conveying good energy, and our shared birthright as “ONE.”
Japan, known as the Land of the Rising Sun, will host the renowned Korean music award show at Tokyo Dome for the first time. The MAMA Awards, initiated in 1999, have consistently honored outstanding contributors to the K-pop and Asian music scenes.
Eligible submissions for this year’s awards include music released between October 22, 2022, and September 2023. Over the past 24 years, the MAMA Awards have graced various Asian locations, including Macao, Singapore, Hong Kong, Vietnam, and more.
On November 28, the ceremony will feature performances from &TEAM, Dynamicduo, INI, ENHYPEN, JOI, Lee Young Ji, JUST B, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, Kep1er, Street Woman Fighter2, TVXQ!, xikers, and Japanese musician and songwriter Yoshiki.
The second day, November 29, of MAMA awards 2023 will be hosted by Park Bo-gum, and performances will include BOYNEXTDOOR, SEVENTEEN, LE SSERAFIM, ZEROBASEONE, G(I)-DLE, EL7Z UP, RIIZE, TREASURE, Monika, and NiziU.
The red carpet will roll out at 4 pm KST on both days, with the ceremony starting at 6 pm KST. Broadcasting on Mnet and tvN SHOW in South Korea, the event will also be livestreamed on TVING and worldwide on YouTube through official channels like Mnet K-POP, Mnet TV, M2, and KCON Official.
In Japan, the ceremony can be viewed on Mnet Japan, Mnet Smart+, and au Smart Pass. Singapore viewers can tune in on tvN Asia and meWATCH, while in Vietnam, FPT PLAY is the platform. Hong Kong, Taiwan, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Maldives, and Myanmar audiences can catch the ceremony on tvN Asia.
