TVS Ronin Special Edition

TVS Motor Company has switched gears into celebratory mode by launching a real looker of a bike, the Ronin Special Edition, in India. This motorbeast doesn’t just bring a fresh new color scheme but a repertoire of accessories, all at the competitive price of Rs 1,72,700 (ex-showroom).

For the riders who believe that excitement resides in the details, this news could be the equivalent of finding extra fries at the bottom of the bag.

A Fresh New Look with Shades of Excitement

For bodies in motion, color matters, and the new Special Edition Ronin offers a burst of excitement with fresh graphics and a triple-tone Nimbus Grey paint scheme. This unique combination of cool grey, crisp white, and daring red creates a magnetic pull that only the most hardened commuters will be able to resist.

Remember, this isn’t just any bike you’re getting ready to mount. It’s a Special Edition Ronin, and all eyes will be drawn to its ‘R’ logo pattern and the discreet ‘TVS Ronin’ branding on the wheels. Riders will also appreciate the blacked-out headlamp bezel that gives an elusive, mysterious look. And just when you thought it couldn’t get any darker, the lower portion of the beast is now all-black too!

Extra Features for the Discerning Rider

But the company didn’t just stop at jazzing up its look, they went the extra mile and loaded it with accessories. This Ronin Special Edition has goodies like a convenient USB charging port, a nifty fly screen, and a shiny new EFI cover. These additional features can become the cherry on the cake for the pragmatic rider who loves added comfort with a pinch of style.

And you may ask yourself, can TVS outdo themselves? Well, brace yourselves for this – they have gifted the Ronin Special Edition with the same top-notch features as the standard model. Such as the absolute lifesaver of dual-channel ABS with two ABS modes, a Bluetooth-enabled fully digital console, upside-down front forks, all-LED lighting, and a rear mono-shock with seven-step preload adjustability – phew!

Hold your helmets, there’s more! Equipped with an assist-and-slip clutch, the brakes never felt so smooth with its 300mm front disc brake and the equally robust 240mm rear disc brake. Plus, it’s got adjustable levers and tyres that were born ready for the Indian roads, with a 110/70 17 section at the front and a 130/70 17 section at the rear.

Oh, and not to forget, it comes with TVS SmartXonnect that provides turn-by-turn navigation, call/SMS alerts, ETA, and a whole lot more. Is this a flying machine or a smart device on wheels? You tell me!

Built For Every Rider

On the bike, your comfort is the key which is where those fine-tuned dimensions come into play. The seat height of the Ronin stands at 795mm, giving just enough stretch for the legs. With a ground clearance of 181mm and a kerb weight of it being 160kg, this lightweight speed-monster makes for a comfortable ride. And don’t worry about running out of juice mid-journey. The Ronin Special Edition got you covered with its capacity to harbor a promising 14 liters of fuel.

Power and Performance

Now let’s take a peek under the hood. The Ronin Special Edition is powered by a 225.9cc, single-cylinder, oil/air-cooled engine. It churns out a satisfying 20.4PS of grunt at 7,750rpm and 19.93Nm of torque at 3,750rpm. Paired with a five-speed gearbox, it almost feels like strapping in for a thrilling roller coaster ride!

One Year On…

Launched last year, the Ronin carved a niche for itself as the first premium lifestyle segment motorcycle from the TVS Motor house. A year down the line it’s not just a two-wheeler, it’s inspiring riders to make their paths and create journeys unlike any other!

With the new Special Edition, the TVS Motor Company aims to add more flavor to these journeys, propelling the riders to more thrilling and fulfilling adventures. As Vimal Sumbly wraps it up, “With this new edition, we are confident to take that journey forward and charter exciting journeys.” TVS: Unleashing spirits, one biker at a time!
