Currently, Call of Duty Mobile is in the midst of Season 8, appropriately named “ERROR 404.” The standout feature of this season is the introduction of the multiplayer map Kurohana Metropolis, a futuristic urban battleground that encourages intense close-quarters combat.
Remaining true to the core essence of Call of Duty, playlists continue to be a fundamental aspect, and this mobile version has introduced the Super Slide feature, granting players extended sliding abilities across various game modes for all Operators.
Season 8 also marked the arrival of the Argus shotgun, renowned for having the highest one-shot kill range in its class.
As we look forward to Season 9, Call of Duty Mobile has unveiled two Zombie modes under the banner of “Graveyard Shift.” This season, set to kick off on October 4 at 5 PM PT, will embrace a Halloween theme.
In the first mode, known as Zombies Classic, players will revisit the eerie swamp known as Shi no Numa, a familiar setting from Call of Duty: Black Ops 3’s zombie maps.
Squads will confront increasingly menacing waves of zombies as the rounds progress. In the second mode, Undead Siege, players will descend into a nightmarish version of the battle royale map Isolated, where they must unite with their allies to survive for five days and five nights amid the relentless zombie onslaught.
Season 9 will also introduce a brand-new battle pass, featuring the coveted Launcher Plus perk, previously seen in the 2020 Call of Duty Mobile Season 12. This perk significantly augments Launcher functionality by providing additional ammunition and increasing the chances of earning Scorestreaks through Launcher eliminations.
Furthermore, the Mythical Weapon Draw will receive an update with the introduction of the CX-9 – Lethal Hollow weapon, while players will have the opportunity to compete for other enticing rewards, including the Kestrel – Blessed Hollow Operator Skin.
The excitement within the Call of Duty community doesn’t stop at the impending release of Modern Warfare 3. The announcement of Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile last year promised to bring the immersive experience known to PC and console players to mobile devices.
However, it is important to note that Call of Duty Mobile will continue to thrive independently. Developers have reassured players that it will not be phased out in favor of Warzone Mobile.
Their unwavering commitment to consistently deliver new events, seasons, and weaponry underscores their dedication to keeping Call of Duty Mobile a dynamic and captivating experience for players of all kinds.
