The latest edition brings an exceptional collaboration with El Lequio from Okinawa — a bar recognised on 50 Best Discovery and ranked #80 in Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2023.
Leading this extraordinary takeover is Satoshi Sugiura, the Bar Manager at El Lequio and one of Japan’s most dynamic and imaginative mixologists. With over a decade of experience spanning Tokyo, Shanghai, and Okinawa, Sugiura is renowned for his groundbreaking “Ryukyu-inspired Nikkei-Latino” mixology philosophy. This distinctive style marries the deep-rooted heritage of Okinawa with the lively, flavourful spirit of South America — a signature approach that has earned El Lequio a prominent place on the global cocktail stage.
Guests attending this special edition of Loya Qissa can look forward to an exclusive menu of expressive, artfully crafted cocktails. Each creation is meticulously designed to take them on a sensory journey through Okinawa’s island essence, reimagined with vibrant Latin influences.
