Leading this extraordinary takeover is Satoshi Sugiura, the Bar Manager at El Lequio and one of Japan’s most dynamic and imaginative mixologists. With over a decade of experience spanning Tokyo, Shanghai, and Okinawa, Sugiura is renowned for his groundbreaking “Ryukyu-inspired Nikkei-Latino” mixology philosophy. This distinctive style marries the deep-rooted heritage of Okinawa with the lively, flavourful spirit of South America — a signature approach that has earned El Lequio a prominent place on the global cocktail stage.
