The grand commencement of the 2024 edition of the Jaipur Music Stage took place with splendor at Hotel Clarks Amer, Jaipur, on February 1st. Extending from February 1st to 3rd, this 3-day music festival coincides with the renowned Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Series Jaipur Literature Festival, creating a harmonious fusion of books, literature, and music from India and around the world.
On the festival’s opening day, The Tapi Project, blending folk, jazz, and rock influences, offered a continuous revival of stories and themes, presenting a diverse tapestry of musical styles.
Additionally, the band Alif, fronted by Mohammad Muneem and proficient in poetry, singing, songwriting, filmmaking, and scriptwriting, seamlessly integrated music across various themes and genres, enriching the festival’s cultural vibrancy.
True to its legacy, the festival remains committed to showcasing a varied array of musical genres, featuring both established and emerging talents. The eagerly anticipated performances on Day 1 brought back the enchantment of live music to the stage, rekindling the magic that has defined this platform. They highlighted some of the most exceptional musical expressions from India and around the world, as seen in previous editions.
Members of the Tapi Project expressed their sentiments, stating, “The Jaipur Music Stage is prestigious and provides an excellent platform for us to showcase our performance, which revolves around breaking boundaries, the introspective and transcendental nature of music, and the paradoxical aspects of life. This mirrors the essence of literature at the festival. It’s our first time here, and with poetry being an integral part of our performance, we’re excited to present it to the special audience of the Jaipur Literature Festival. Yes, there will be a new song, and we’re thrilled to debut it at the Jaipur Music Stage.”
