The 43-year-old comedian has found herself in legal trouble once again, having been arrested for driving under the influence for the second time in the span of two years.
As per multiple reports, Beverly Hills, California, police officers issued a citation to the comedian on Friday, Nov. 24. Witnesses claimed to have seen Haddish stopped in the middle of Beverly Drive, seemingly asleep with her car still running.
Responding to a call, law enforcement arrived at the scene and subsequently arrested her on charges of driving under the influence. TMZ was the first to report the incident, providing detailed information. Haddish is expected to be released on Friday.
Mere hours before the incident, Haddish had taken the stage at the Laugh Factory in West Hollywood, presenting a special Thanksgiving performance for the audience. The venue had arranged its 43rd annual complimentary feast for the community.
After her performance, Haddish ventured out to revel in the celebration, capturing moments of herself dancing at Yachtley Crew’s concert on Thursday, Nov. 23, which she shared on Instagram.

In a subsequent video on Thursday night, she comically conveyed her eagerness to join the Habesha party in Inglewood, humorously connecting with her East African heritage. Haddish playfully recounted past party escapades and jokingly bemoaned her apparent exclusion from the club.

This occurrence signifies Haddish’s second apprehension for driving under the influence, following a previous incident in January 2022. During that incident, she was arrested in Atlanta when officers responded to a report of someone sleeping behind the wheel. Haddish confronted charges of DUI and improper stopping on a roadway, ultimately securing her release by posting a $1,666 bond.

During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon later that month, she lightened the mood around the incident, playfully commenting on her newfound appreciation for men in uniform and expressing her surprise at the unexpected turn of events.
“I’ve been praying to God to send me a new man, a good man. Well, God sent me four in a uniform,” Haddish joked. “I wasn’t expecting that, not at all. Now, I’ve got a really great lawyer, and we’re going to work it out. I just need to refine my requests to God a little better.”
The Afterparty actress went on to discuss the challenges she’s been grappling with, particularly the recent loss of fellow comedian Bob Saget and her grandmother, both of whom passed away that month.
“He was the first white man to ever tell me, ‘Just be yourself, just be who you are, Tiffany. Don’t worry about anything, just be you,'” she shared about Saget. “And then my grandma passed away, and she saved my life; she was like my soulmate. So, it’s been really difficult to process all this grief.”
