Skoda India recently showcased the Octavia RS at the Bharat Mobility Expo in Delhi, marking the comeback of the high-performance RS variant to the Indian market.
The 2025 Octavia RS features subtle design updates both inside and out, but the real excitement lies under the hood. It is powered by a 2.0-litre TSI petrol engine that produces over 261 bhp and 370 Nm of torque. Paired with a seven-speed DSG automatic transmission, this performance sedan accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.6 seconds and boasts a top speed of 250 km/h.
Living up to its RS badge, this version of the Octavia sits 15mm lower than the standard model. It also comes equipped with an electronic limited-slip differential on the front axle and a sports exhaust system with black tailpipes as standard.
The Octavia RS variant was previously discontinued in April 2023 due to the introduction of BS6 Phase 2 emission norms. Now, in its fourth-generation avatar, the 2025 Octavia RS is set to return to India as a Completely Built Unit (CBU), expected to launch soon in limited numbers, similar to its predecessors.
