Hyundai is gearing up for the market launch of two extensively updated SUVs, marking a significant development in the ever-evolving automotive landscape. The much-anticipated Creta facelift is currently undergoing testing in India and Korea, while the latest spy shots have unveiled the heavily refreshed Alcazar.
Notably, the refreshed Alcazar is scheduled for release following the market launch of the Creta facelift, set to take place early next year.
Hyundai Alcazar Exterior
The facelift is expected to adopt a new design language akin to the upcoming Creta facelift, featuring a split headlamp setup, an all-new front grille, and bumper redesign.
The rear end will showcase a revamped tailgate with horizontally connected tail-lamps. Furthermore, new alloy wheel designs and sheet metal alterations will complement the front and rear facelifts. In typical Hyundai style, expect a touch of chrome and premium plastic accents to elevate the SUV’s aesthetics.
While the design is anticipated to draw inspiration from the full-size Hyundai Palisade, distinctions will be incorporated to distinguish the Creta from the Alcazar.
Hyundai Alcazar Interior
Inside the cabin, expect fresh color schemes for the dashboard and upholstery, along with feature additions, possibly including Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).
There are also unconfirmed reports hinting at the presence of a larger touchscreen display. Currently, the Alcazar boasts a 10.25-inch infotainment screen, on par with rivals. However, the upcoming Safari facelift is slated to receive a larger 12.3-inch infotainment screen, as seen on the top-spec Nexon EV.
Hyundai is making strides to stay competitive, not only through design enhancements but also through feature upgrades in its lineup. Recently, the 2023 Venue and the refreshed 2023 i20 in India received Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).
The latest addition to this effort is the Alcazar facelift, spotted during testing. While the earlier update this year brought a redesigned grille and a new turbocharged petrol engine to the three-row SUV, the upcoming mid-life facelift promises more significant design changes, aligning it with Hyundai’s contemporary models.

Additional features anticipated in the Alcazar facelift include Level 2 autonomy, a 360-degree camera, updated Bluelink connected car tech, USB Type-C ports with faster charging, and more.
Other potential features encompass a panoramic sunroof, TPMS, ventilated front seats, wireless chargers in the first and rear rows, an air purifier, Bose sound system, powered driver seat, four-wheel disc brakes, front and rear parking sensors, traction control, OTA updates, electric parking brake with auto hold, cooled glove box, idle engine start/stop, puddle lamps, and a 64-color ambient lighting system.
Hyundai Alcazar Powertrain
The Alcazar facelift is expected to retain the same petrol and diesel powertrain options as the current model, including a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine producing 160PS and 253Nm of torque, as well as a 1.5-liter turbo-diesel engine with 116PS and 250Nm of torque, both updated to meet BS6 Stage II emission norms.
Transmission choices will encompass a six-speed manual, a six-speed automatic, and a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic.
Hyundai Alcazar Price
As for its pricing and launch, this recent sighting suggests that the Alcazar facelift might make its debut in early 2024.
Currently, the prices for the existing Alcazar start at Rs 16.77 lakh (ex-showroom) and go up to Rs 21.23 lakh (ex-showroom). The refreshed model is expected to come with revised pricing in line with its updates and enhancements.
