If wars have taught us anything, though we have never actually tried to learn anything out of them, it is one simple fact – it only destroys, and nothing better can be achieved out of it.
Still, back in 2012; 19 July to be precise, the civil war in Syria made its first ever impact on Aleppo, Syria’s largest city. Marked by the brutality of the Syrian army’s use of barrel bombs dropped from helicopters, killing thousands of people and forcing hundreds of thousands to evacuate- this day is the day when Aleppo FELL!
What was once one of the most beautiful countries not only In Syria but the whole world, has become a playground of death now.
Here’s what war has done to this city…. All in stills… before… and after!
It pains me to see what the world has come to and believe it or not, no matter how devastated it looks like, I do plan to visit this place once in my life… whenever I will be able to afford it. For some travels are not for fun, but to be the mirror that shows how cruel we the humans have become.
Pray For Aleppo, Pray For Syria!
