What is Tomorrowland?
This massive festival was first held in 2005, and was created by two brothers , the Beers in partnership with ID&T, subsidiary of SFX Entertainment. Over the last decade, this festival has attracted music fans from across the world. Some of the most famous acts over the years has included the likes of Paul Van Dyke, Swedish House Mafia, David Guetta, Moby Dick, Dimitri Vegas,Tiesto, Avicii, Fatboy Slim, Afrojack etc. to name a few. The festival generates interest from music across boundaries and tickets get sold out within hours and days of the fest being announced every year. In the initial years, Tomorrowland was hosted over one weekend but now it’s a two weekend event with other attractions thrown in around the venue itself. It serves as a mini vacation and the site of much music and madness each year.
What’s the noise about?
Hear this-the 2013 edition of Tomorrowland attracted people of 92 nationalities, who bonded over the music, the acts, the heady feeling and the pulsating entertainment. Passion, energy, memorable performances, watching some of the cutting edge artists of our times and listening to some compelling music-all this and more has made this festival, one of the most awaited annual musical events each year.
Each year, this fest gets bigger and better with the artists too enjoying performing there and adding this to their annual world stage tour schedule. This year it’s more special as the fest is celebrating ten years since its birth, hence there is double the madness with two weekends of fun, music and ultimate enjoyment.
Getting there from India
The easiest way to get there is to fly to Brussels, in Belgium. One of the many ways includes hiring a car / taxi at the airport and following the directions given on the very helpful trip planner and map on the festival website. Or you can plan your trip in a way where you can hop onto the Tomorrowland shuttle (you need to buy the ticket at the airport) that will be available at the airport.
If you want to spend some time discovering the area, you can board a train to Boon, and then the shuttle there will take you to the venue. Before planning your trip, it is recommended that you visit the –“How to get there,” section on the festival website.
